Omega 3 essential fatty acids keep our immune system in balance and aid relief of itching and scratching from environmental allergies and reduce inflammation of chronic medical conditions. Unlike flax seed oil or other seed oils, our marine oil is rich in the essential fatty acids DHA and EPA in a form ready to use by the body. Flaxseed omega 3 fatty acids are only available in an unusable form that needs conversion of “refining.” Dogs and humans convert these omega 3 fatty acids to EPA very poorly and not at all to DHA.
Our Well Dog Omega 3 oil is sourced from fresh caught sardine, herring, mackerel and anchovies from the clean, sustainable waters of Iceland. It is molecularly distilled, cold pressed and deodorized to provide Omega 3 fatty acids in their most biologically available forms of DHA and EPA and are free of GMO ingredients. This process removes PCB’s, lead and other contaminants.
